|Summer is quickly approaching which means that it’s finally time to pack your bags and head out to the beach. Scheduling a manicure and pedicure is a must for you to be entirely vacation ready. Regardless of how long you’re going to be going on your trip, the one thing you want to make sure of is that your nails continue to look great.
In today’s blog, we are going to touch on a few of the ways that you can ensure your mani and pedi continue to look good throughout your time on the beach.
Keep it Short
While long, fierce nails might be your typical go-to when getting a manicure, if you’re going to be heading out on vacation, you should consider keeping it short. For starters, the last thing that you want to deal with while on vacation is a broken nail. Not only is this pain that you don’t want to have to endure, but you already know that you’re going to be using your hands quite a bit. Rather than risk the chances of breaking a nail, stick to shorter nails that you’re going to be able to better manage.
Aside from that, shorter nails provide you with a little more wiggle room in regards to the next time you need to schedule a mani. If you’re going to be going on a longer trip and won’t have time to schedule a manicure or pedicure or you won’t have access to a nail salon, then the shorter your nails are, the better.
Long-Lasting Results
Not all manicures are made equally. Though it might be tempting to select a more affordable manicure option, consider choosing a manicure that is going to provide you with longer results. There are so many different manicure options available that are going to provide you with results that keep your nails looking good for the entirety of your vacation. Gel and acrylic manicures are two of the most common options available if you’re looking for a full on manicure, but they aren’t necessarily the best for your nails.
If you’re not a fan of these two manicure options, then you may want to consider a nail polish color or design that won’t be easily damaged or grown out. French manicures are a great option if you’re looking for something more natural that provides a little wiggle room in regards to growth.
Ask for a Top Coat
A top coat is one of the oldest tricks in the book when it comes to keeping nails looking great. If you know that you’re going to be heading out on a trip, make sure to let your nail specialist know so that they can provide you with a top coat to your manicure. That being said, you don’t want your manicure to be too thick, so while it may feel like you’re adding extra protection to your manicure by adding a top coat on your own, you could risk the overall look of your nails.
